What is the minimum age to apply for a new license?

Applicants must be at least eighteen (18) years old.

Yes, you must have either a SSN (Social Security Number) or a FEIN (Federal Employer Identification Number).

Yes, you are required to provide proof of residency within the state of Colorado.

Continuing Education (CE) Insurance Licensing Requirements in Colorado

CE requirements include:  

24 hours  

  • 18 hours in Life/A&H/Property/Casualty 
  • 3 hours in ethics 
  • 3 hours Homeowners (Property/Personal Lines producers must complete a Homeowners CE requirement.)
