E&O
Errors and omissions (E&O) insurance is a liability insurance that protects businesses and professionals against mistakes made while providing a professional service, including claims of negligence, malpractice, errors, omissions or failure to perform services.
However, while coverage can be specific to types of businesses and occupations, E&O does not cover claims for malfeasance, property damage, bodily or workplace injuries, data breaches, intellectual property violations, or criminal acts. Additionally, regulatory and licensing errors often do not qualify as “wrongful acts” under E&O definitions.
Successfully obtaining or verifying E&O insurance is a key part of the appointment process, with a required minimum of $1 million per occurrence. It can be bought individually or through a group plan like NAIFA or NAPA.
Agenzee specifically offers manual E&O monitoring as a platform feature.
