Non-refundable Texas licensing fees apply for appointments, exams, fingerprinting, and other services as follows.

Additional Notes: All Texas licensing fees are non-refundable per section Article 21.07 §6C(a) and are to be paid by check or money order.
Continuing Education (CE) Insurance Licensing Requirements in Texas
CE requirements include 24 hours biennially for major lines (including 3 hours in ethics) and 10 hours biennially for limited lines. A licensee may complete any Texas-approved general or ethics/consumer protection course. At least 50% of the hours must be in the classroom and the rest may be self-study.
A licensee can apply excess ethics hours toward general CE credit within the same renewal period. More information about Texas CE requirements is available by emailing CE@tdi.texas.gov or calling 512-676-6500.

When do I need to renew my Texas producer license?
Licenses must be renewed every two years, before your license expiration date. You must be fully compliant with your continuing education (CE) requirements and pay your renewal fee.
What if I miss the Texas producer license renewal deadline?
Within 90 days, a late application fee of $75 applies in addition to standard renewal requirements. After 90 days, you need to reapply as a new applicant and pay additional penalties.
