Licensing fees for initial licenses, renewals, exams, and other services are as follows.

Continuing Education (CE)

CE requirements:  

  • 24 hours of CE (including 3 hours of ethics) for Life, Accident & Health or Sickness, Variable Life and Variable Annuity, Property, Casualty, Personal Lines every 2 years.

FAQs

Licenses in Alaska require renewal and completion of CE every 2 years on the last day of the licensee’s birth month.  

Alaska offers a one-year grace period to reinstate producer licenses. A reinstatement fee of $100 applies when renewing 1 to 60 days late. A $200 reinstatement fee applies from day 61. After one year, the licensee must reapply as a new applicant.
