Maryland 2025 Appointment Renewals: What Carriers Need to Know
Mark your calendars—Maryland’s 2025 company appointment renewal period begins June 3, 2025, and runs through August 31, 2025. If your organization has Motor Club appointments in Maryland, now is the time to review the full requirements and ensure you meet the necessary deadlines.
Maryland 2025 Appointment Renewal Window
Starting June 3, 2025, companies with Motor Club appointments in Maryland will be able to access renewal invoices through the NIPR website. This electronic-only process will remain open until 4:00 PM Central Time on August 31, 2025. Companies must settle all renewal fees by this deadline, or the appointments will be terminated. Termination Requests Must Be Completed by May 24, 2025
To prepare for the renewal cycle, any termination requests must be processed by May 24, 2025—before the invoices are generated. Once the appointment renewal invoices are live, companies will not be allowed to edit or remove any of the appointments listed. Disputes for previously terminated appointments must be resolved directly with the Maryland Department of Insurance before the May 24 deadline. Department contact information is as follows:

Maryland Insurance Administration
Attention: Producer Licensing Unit
200 St. Paul Place, Suite 2700
Baltimore, MD 21202
Appointments Added After May 25 Will Not Be Included
Any appointments added on or after May 25, 2025, will not appear on the 2025 renewal invoice. These appointments will fall into the next renewal cycle. Companies should verify their appointment lists early to avoid missing key updates.
Electronic Payments Only—No Paper Checks Accepted
All payments must be submitted electronically through NIPR. Paper checks will not be accepted and will be returned, which could delay processing and lead to unintentional terminations. Electronic payments are reflected immediately, and NIPR forwards payment and renewal transactions to the state within 24 hours. The renewal fee is $2.00 per appointment. In addition, NIPR charges a processing fee equal to 1% of the total state fee, with a minimum of $5.00 and a maximum of $1,000.00. These fees are non-refundable, so it’s important to double-check the invoice before submitting payment.
Summary:
Maryland’s streamlined renewal process offers clarity and efficiency—but only for those who stay on top of the important dates and requirements. Begin reviewing your appointments early, and make sure your team is ready to submit payments electronically once the window opens. For additional support, NIPR Resellers like Agenzee can help manage reconciliation and reporting needs.

We like the clean, modern look of the system, as well as the dashboard, ability to give admins access to only certain areas, onboarding, packages and the resource library.
